Welcome to the 2020 Annual Report

The National Toxicology Program provides scientific data, interpretation, and guidance on environmental substances to help inform public health policy and protect the American people. The science we conduct on emerging public health concerns touches and helps improve lives every day.

This annual report spotlights our many accomplishments in fiscal year 2020, including:

  • Publication of more than 260 peer-reviewed research articles and reports on substances of concern.
  • Release of scoping reviews for neonicotinoid pesticides, Parkinson’s disease, and progestogens.
  • Reviews of eight substances for potential listing in the 15th Report on Carcinogens.

“My goal is to enhance our program’s effectiveness and stature as a global leader in toxicology research and to develop our role as a valuable resource that informs decisions for a healthier tomorrow.”

Dr. Rick Woychik
NIEHS and NTP Director
