Webinar on OHAT Approach for Systemic Review
September 26, 2013, 1:00-4:00 p.m. EDT, Web-Based Informational Meeting
The goals of the webinar were two-fold: (1) to gain additional clarity on issues raised in public comments and (2) to discuss NTP’s progress at working through several case studies to test the systematic review framework.
The National Toxicology Program’s (NTP) Office of Health and Assessment Translation (OHAT) at NIEHS is developing a framework for integrating systematic review methodology into its literature-based analysis activities. This framework will be used to guide the evaluation and integration of scientific information for reaching decisions about potential human hazards or identifying the state of the science and research needs. In February 2013, the draft OHAT approach was released for public comment and additional comment was invited at the June 25, 2013 NTP Board of Scientific Counselors meeting. More information about OHAT Approach and implementation of systematic review is available.
