Primary Uses or Exposures: Chloroprene is used as a monomer in the production of the elastomer polychloroprene (neoprene), a synthetic rubber used in the production of automotive and mechanical rubber goods, adhesives, caulks, flame-resistant cushioning, construction goods, fabric coatings, sealants for dams or locks in waterways, roof coatings, fiber binding, and footwear.
