Primary Uses or Exposures: Formaldehyde is primarily used in the production of resins that are used in the production of many different products including plastics, adhesives and binders for wood products, pulp and paper, synthetic fibers, and in textile finishing. It is also used as a disinfectant and preservative and as an inter-mediate for many industrial chemicals.
