Known Uses

Naturally occurring in coal tar. Component of heat-transfer oils. Used in polymer production and in dyeing and printing of textiles. Released into air from the incomplete combustion of coal & oil products. Associated with tobacco: reported either as a natural component of tobacco, pyrolysis product (in tobacco smoke), or additive for one or more types of tobacco products.
