Known Uses

Used mainly as a chemical intermediate in the manufacture of benzoyl chloride which is a chemical intermediate. It is also used in the manufacture of dyes. Small amounts of the chemical are used in the manufacture of benzotrifluoride and in the production of hydroxybenzophenone ultraviolet light stabilizers and ion-exchange resins.
