Known Uses

Cross-linking monomer for copolymerization with styrene or with acrylic or methacrylic acid to produce ion-exchange resins used in home, municipal and industrial water treatment and in chemical, food and pharmaceutical processing. Used in styrene-butadiene rubber to improve the swelling, shrinkage, and extrusion properties. Used in the manufacture of drying oils & contact lenses.
