Known Uses

Plasticizer added to vacuum pump fluid, PVC polymers, elastomers, rubber & resins, agaricide used in orchards, inert ingredient in pesticide formulations, in dielectric fluids, photographic film, adhesives, cosmetics, detergents (HSDB 1990). The objective of this study is to evaluate the transgenic mouse models to identify chemicals for carcinogenic potential. Associated with tobacco: reported either as a natural component of tobacco, pyrolysis product (in tobacco smoke), or additive for one or more types of tobacco products.
