Known Uses

Substituted coumarin-type fluorescent whitening agent used with natural & synthetic fibers. Also used in plastics, in photographic film layers, in electrophotographic toners, & UV-detecting resins. It has been approved by the FDA as an indirect food additive for food packaging materials.
