Updates to CompTox Chemicals Dashboard
The CompTox Chemicals Dashboard is the primary web-based application for access to data and algorithms from the EPA Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure. The Dashboard is a widely used resource for chemistry, toxicity, and exposure information for over a million chemicals. There were eight updates to the Dashboard released in 2024 and 2025, increasing the number of chemicals to 1,246,399 with all related data. These related data include mass spectrometry-ready/quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR)-ready structures, linked substances, and property predictions generated by the Open (Quantitative) Structure–activity/property Relationship App (OPERA) and EPA Toxicity Estimation Software Suite tools. The EPA Toxicity Forecaster (ToxCast) invitrodb v. 4.2 dataset was released in September 2024, and an updated version of the Chemical and Products Database was released via the Dashboard in June 2025 (Handa et al. 2025). The next Dashboard update is planned for August 2026.
A June 2025 virtual training on the Dashboard gave an overview of Dashboard functions along with its risk evaluation components, navigation, and a case study. Additional training resources for the Dashboard are available on the EPA NAMs Training webpage.
