About Drinking Water Abstracts
Drinking water abstracts present results of studies conducted by contract laboratories for NTP. The screening studies were designed to provide broad toxicity information. The studies have limited experimental power and therefore should not be used as definitive information on reproductive or developmental toxicity outcomes. The findings were not evaluated in accordance with the levels of evidence for reproductive or developmental toxicity criteria established by NTP in March 2009. The findings and conclusions for these studies should not be construed to represent the views of NTP or the U.S. Government.

Developmental (teratology) abstracts represent studies conducted by NTP. Studies conducted before 1985 have not been included in the list. These studies have not been evaluated by the levels of evidence criteria for developmental toxicity established by NTP in March 2009.
