Nominations to the Testing Program

NTP continually accepts and reviews nominations for studies in its research and testing program. Studies are used to evaluate substances for a variety of health-related effects. The nomination process is open to the public, and nominations can be submitted using our form.

Nominations are generally received from:

  • Academia
  • Advocacy groups
  • Federal and state regulatory agencies
  • General public
  • Health agencies
  • Industry
  • Unions

Agencies represented on the NTP Executive Committee also identify and forward nominations to NTP. For new studies or research projects of substantial scope and complexity, NTP research concepts or project plans are prepared to facilitate external review. The preparation stage is part of a multi-step process with input from participating federal agencies, the NTP Board of Scientific Counselors, and the public.

Visit the Office of Nominations and Selection for more information.
